Who's Who of the Wedding Party

Who's in the party??

Amy, Da Bride

Amy is a recent graduate of Notre Dame with a Premedicine/Japanese major. She spent 7 months in Japan after graduating and returned to America March '06. Currently she does research in rats, mice, and rabbits for medicine that's intended for approval by the FDA. She's excited to go to med school this September (she's just not sure which one she's going to at the moment).

April, Da Matron of Honor
(who didn't send me a better picture yet)

April Blakeslee, 30, married to Mike Blakeslee. I have one child, who is a year and a half named Westley. I just defended on April 6th my PhD dissertation in marine ecology! So that means I will be Dr. Blakeslee in a little over a month when I walk in UNH's graduation. I have a master's degree from BU and a bachelor's degree also from BU. I am presently applying for postdoctorate positions and am working on writing up manuscripts for publication based on my research. I love to travel, read, see musicals, watch movies, and spend time with my family.

Update: The Smithsonian hired her! :)

Amy Bennett

She went to SUNY Oneonta and majored in Anthropology and Religious Studies...uhm, now she's in Scotland earning a masters degree in european archaeology, at the university of edinburgh. She'd like to FINISH that masters degree, and then continue traveling all over the planet. She doesn't like to stay in one place too long, eh heh! What else...well, this one time, Shirl and her teased Houghton so bad they started calling her Hoots and then she felt weak so she took karate lessons. BWAhaha. ^.^ And, she helped get Hoots into a lot of trouble in the library in 8th grade, they wrote each other poems, cuz they were lame! HA!

Megan Casserlie

Coming to you straight from sunny Cleveland, Ohio, bridesmaid Megan Casserlie is a 2005 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where she and Amy were roommates during their sophomore and junior years. After partaking in a main course of history and a side dish of mathematics, she landed a job at Progressive Insurance, working as a data analyst in the corporate Financial Operations department. There, in her luxurious 12-by-12 cube-with-a-view, she does geeky computer stuff in the pursuit of data analysis, including query-writing, code-writing (SQL, VBA, and LotusScript), and deep thinking. In her spare time, she takes ballroom and swing dancing lessons and also enjoys reading, playing cards and board games, and watching Jeopardy. She aspires to happiness and world travel but would be satisfied with just having happiness. Favorite food? Without a doubt, chocolate.

Shirong "Shirley" Gao

Shirong Gao knew Amy Rose Houghton back in the bitter, beautiful days of youth. The two heroines then parted ways where Shirong attended UCLA and majored in Design|Media Arts with a minor in Japanese. Right now, she's under the guise of teaching English to cute, delinquent teens in Japan on the JET Program, which Amy had alluded to back in high school. How Amy knew of Shirong's fate, the bonds that tie these two, is beyond scientific reasoning and understanding. However Shirong's true future aspiration is, to work in the field of graphic design and perhaps, world domination. Her favorite food is watermelon.

Miss Lauren Marar!

Lauren didn't submit her information!! It's okay, she's awesome. She graduated from Boston University in 2005, with a degree in education, then got her masters from Harvard (!!) also in education. During and after college she taught children in Costa Rica and Nicaragua the ever important language... English! Now she's working at a restaurant named Coreana, and hopes to one day affect education policies in America and internationally! She can speak Spanish and Portugese fluently and she also plays the organ for a church in Boston! Is there anything this chica can't do??

Tatiana Nealon

Tatiana Nealon is a 2005 graduate from the University of Notre Dame where she majored in Marketing. However, what she does now has nothing to do with marketing. Go figure. Currently she works for Cooperative Personnel Services in Sacramento where she sets up notary exams all over the state of California. Her future aspirations are to (1) make it to middle management by this summer (2) get a masters degree in higher education administration and (3) get a job planning student union events at any college that has enough funds to have decent events by 2015.

On a more fun note, she enjoys dark chocolate and burning calories gained from eating said chocolate by playing DDR.
